CASp Exam Prep Course

The next CASp Exam Prep Course is scheduled for April 13 to 17, 2026. Registration coming soon!
BeyondAccess Consulting offers a five-day virtual training course to review information covered on the examination to become a Certified Access Specialist (CASp) in the State of California. Note: BeyondAccess Consulting has the same knowledgeable staff as the Pacific ADA Center and offers the same great exam prep course; we simply moved our services that go beyond the scope of the ADA to this newer program.
A CASp is a qualified individual who is certified by the California Division of the State Architect to review buildings and facilities for compliance with state and federal construction-related accessibility codes and standards. This course explores California laws and relevant federal disability laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Anyone responsible for and/or interested in California facility accessibility or the CASp program can take this course. However, there are eligibility requirements to take the CASp exam, and you need an approved application from the California Division of the State Architect before taking the exam. See Section II of the CASp Exam, Certification, and Practice Standards Handbook for more information.
Under California law, cities and counties can use funds available to them through the Accessibility Compliance Fund (Gov Code 4467(b)) for CASp training and certification and to facilitate compliance with construction-related accessibility requirements.
This course also qualifies for ADA Coordinator Training Certification Program credits.
Our next course is being offered in January 2026 from 8:00am – noon daily (PT). Register today!

Testimonials
- [I liked] the vast amount of information and resources provided; the code path examples and the sample site plan review. I liked the way it was broken down each day. Not too overwhelming all at once. Very practical information and the knowledge base was really strong which was great.
- I really liked all the information that was provided. Jan was an outstanding instructor.
- [I liked the] extensive knowledge of each speaker in house and guest speakers. I have taken other classes by CASp Providers none are better than the one provided by Pacific ADA Center [now under the BeyondAccess Program].
- [I liked the] broad overview of a complex system. Balanced views on what serves the goals and what can be improved / flaws in the system of achieving them. Jan is fantastic, clearly knows the subject and articulates complex ideas. It takes endurance to pack that much in a relatively short time.
- I liked the different instructors with different areas of knowledge and experience. I also enjoyed all the qualified guest speakers.
- I took your class back in September in preparation for the CASp test on October 11. Passed on my first try and I owe a lot of thanks to you and the others that gave us that excellent class. Thank you!
- I took your class earlier in the year. I just wanted to let you know that I just passed my CASp exam in October. Thank you for everything.
- Jan and Don both did an amazing job with this course and with the supplemental materials! I really appreciate your added efforts, thank you so much.
