BeyondAccess Consulting helps businesses and organizations in the Bay Area determine if their buildings and facilities meet the requirements of applicable federal, state, and local accessibility regulations, including the Americans with Disabilities Act Standards for Accessible Design (28 CFR Part 35/36) and Title 24 – California Building Code.

Our services

Our BeyondAccess Consulting program offers:

  • On-site visit(s)
  • Answers to your Americans with Disabilities Act and California Building Code questions beyond the initial site visit and report
  • Assistance with a barrier removal plan
  • Comprehensive assessment report
  • Signed Disability Access Inspection Certificate

Our staff are available to consult with clients about the findings of the assessment for six months following the delivery of the final report.

Our Qualifications

BeyondAccess Consulting staff are qualified to provide these services consistent with generally accepted standards of access consulting practices and the State of California’s Certified Access Specialists Program (CASp).

Don Risdall is the senior staff member of the Center on Disability at the Public Health Institute. He works on both the Pacific ADA Center and BeyondAccess Consulting programs. Don has been answering technical questions about the ADA and other disability laws for the Pacific ADA Center since 2004. He became a CASp in 2013 and is a member of the Certified Access Specialist Institute. Don helps coordinate our CASp Exam Preparation Course that’s provided three times a year.
